HAMILTON - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are on a roll and thats breeding new confidence in a team that got off to a very slow start. I think our guys were always confident, Ticats head coach Kent Austin said Friday. We are young, though. When youve got that level of youth, you need to win for the confidence to be more consistent and to be more authentic. Hamilton (5-7) will take a three-game winning streak into Saturdays game against the visiting B.C. Lions. The Ticats have won four of five overall to move into a tie for first place in the weak CFL East Division. Catch all the action starting at 7pm et/4pm pt on TSN1 and TSN4. The game can also be heard on TSN1410 at 2pm pt. The Ticats are also undefeated at Tim Hortons Field (3-0) since they started playing there on Labour Day. The return of starting quarterback Zach Collaros has also given the team a boost. He missed five games earlier this season due to concussion-like symptoms and Hamilton started the season at 1-6. The Ticats also had to play their first three home games at McMaster University while waiting for their new stadium to open. Right now, in all honesty, this is the hottest team in the league, said B.C. head coach Mike Benevides. Youve got to play your best football and its about every single person playing to the best of their ability because theyre tough to deal with. B.C. (7-6) has lost two straight and sits fourth in the CFL West, but the Lions currently hold a crossover playoff spot since they have a better record than the third-place Toronto Argonauts in the East. On the ground, the Lions will be without Andrew Harris who has a dislocated ankle. Lewis led the league coming into this week with 1,181 yards from scrimmage. They are also without starting quarterback Travis Lulay, who injured his right throwing shoulder on Sept. 5 against Ottawa in his first game back this season after undergoing off-season shoulder surgery. However, the Lions can turn to veteran pivot Kevin Glenn, a former Hamilton starter who has completed 216 of 343 pass attempts for 2,830 yards, 13 touchdowns and 14 interceptions this season. He will have Emmanuel Arceneaux as a target, the leagues second-leading receiver with seven touchdowns and 773 yards on 47 receptions. Im on a very good team, said Glenn. Yes weve struggled a little bit lately, but were still in the thick of things. We still have plenty enough football left to get to where we want to be ... this is about us as players putting our foot down and going out and doing what we need to do. B.C. won its first meeting with Hamilton back in August with a 36-29 victory in Vancouver. Glenn was at the helm for the Lions and backup pivot Dan LeFevour was under centre for Hamilton. He played a great game, were very aware of that, Austin said of Glenn. He made plays and found some open receivers. Especially, a couple times we dropped receivers, and he scrambled around and found them and it turned into big plays. So we just have to be more disciplined defensively and make sure we dont drop receivers when they throw the football. Benevides said the Lions are aware that the Tiger-Cats are a very different team than when they last met now that Collaros is back starting at quarterback. But this weeks matchup may very well end up to be a defensive battle. Hamilton currently sports the leagues best run defence while B.C. owns the best pass defence. B.C. linebacker Solomon Elimimian leads the CFL with 108 defensive tackles. Former CFL all-star defensive end Justin Hickman will play in his second game with the Ticats after returning from a stint in the NFL. He had one sack and two tackles last week against Winnipeg. Hickman and Glenn are friends from their days in Steeltown. Hickman has said he chose the No. 5 for his jersey as a tribute to Glenn, who wore that number in Hamilton. Hickman said the one thing he admires most about Glenn is the quarterbacks mental toughness, but come game time the defensive end that once led the league in quarterback sacks will have something else on his mind. For three years, I couldnt touch him in practice, Hickman said. Now, Ive got a chance to go get him. Hydro Flask Sale . Hydro Flask 40 Oz Cyber Monday . -- Ryan Millers debut for the St.ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks are slowly picking up the ball-movement lessons Mike Budenholzer learned as a longtime assistant with the Spurs. Those lessons were more than enough to overwhelm the Utah Jazz. Lou Williams scored 25 points and the Hawks continued their offensive upswing as they rolled to an easy 118-85 victory over the Jazz on Friday night, winning their third straight and for the fourth time in five games. The Hawks had 32 assists, adding to their NBA lead and bringing a smile to the face of their first-year coach. "Its an indication theyre just getting a better and better understanding of the ball movement and how we want to play," Budenholzer said. "Passing and hitting the open guy just becomes something thats expected." Atlanta set a scoring high with its 124-107 win over Sacramento on Wednesday night and has topped 110 points in three straight games. Al Horford, who had 23 points, has been a key in the recent flurry of high-scoring games. He has averaged 23.6 points in his last five games. Williams, who has played in only 14 games in his return from knee surgery, took extra shooting practice after scoring only two points in 20 minutes in Wednesday nights win over Sacramento. "Im glad it paid off," Williams said. "It was one of the nights we had everything clicking." The Hawks never trailed and pushed their lead to double digits for good in the opening period. They kept up the pressure, outscoring Utah in every period and making 52.3 per cent of their shots (45 of 86) from the field. Budenholzer said the most encouraging sign was "not so much putting them away, but just continuing to play the way we play, just doing the things we did to establish a lead. Tonight was a step forward in that direction." Jeff Teague had nine points and eight assists. Horford was resting when the Hawks took an 85-58 lead into the final period. "Our energy was the difference," Horford said. The Jazz agreed.dddddddddddd "Its a mental thing," said Utahs Derrick Favours. "Weve just got to come out with the energy and the attitude like they had against us tonight." It was a letdown for Utah coach Tyrone Corbin following a win at Orlando on Wednesday night. "I thought we didnt come out with the sense of urgency wed been seeing," Corbin said. "I thought wed turned the corner, I felt like, the way we played in Orlando the other night. I was looking for that effort. We just didnt have it from the beginning tonight." Enes Kanter had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Utah (7-22). Alec Burks also had 13 points. Trey Burke, who scored a career-high 30 points against Orlando, made only 1 of 8 shots for two points. Atlantas Paul Millsap had 14 points and 10 rebounds against his former Utah teammates. The Hawks took their largest halftime lead of the season, pulling ahead by 21 points to lead 55-34 at the break. Horford had 14 points in the half. Kyle Korver extended his NBA record by making a 3-pointer in his 96th consecutive game. His made the first of his two 3s with 4:24 remaining in the first period. Utah had a scare midway through the third quarter when Gordon Hayward was slow to return to his feet following a collision with Teague as the two were reaching for a loose ball. Hayward remained in the game following a timeout and finished with 11 points. Jeremy Evans, the 2012 slam-dunk competition champion, missed a dunk and then landed hard on his back with 7:53 remaining, giving the Jazz another scare. Following a brief delay, Evans remained in the game and had 10 points. NOTES: The Jazz are 0-11 on the road and 1-13 overall when trailing at halftime. ...
