Hey everyone,
So with the recent leak suggesting that cheap bo6 bot lobby might bring back wall running, I’m torn. On one hand, it’s a bold move that could breathe fresh life into the movement mechanics. On the other, it reminds me a bit too much of BO3 and Infinite Warfare—games that were divisive, to say the least.
Wall running adds verticality and speed to combat, making the skill gap wider, which some players love. It makes the game faster, more fluid, and rewards creative playstyles. I have to admit, watching someone pull off a slick wall-run into a slide and then a kill was satisfying back in the day.
But does it fit in 2025’s CoD ecosystem? We’ve had years of boots-on-the-ground gameplay since Modern Warfare 2019, and many fans returned because of that realism. If BO6 leans too hard into advanced movement again, it risks alienating a portion of its base.
I hope if wall running returns, it’s balanced—not everyone should be wall-running across the entire map nonstop. It needs cooldowns, limitations, and maybe even map-specific restrictions to keep it from overwhelming slower-paced players.
What do you all think? Is this a step forward, a step back, or just a different direction altogether?
